Prime Video has released a trailer and announced an April premiere date for ‘Ten Percent‘ from BAFTA award winner John Morton (‘Twenty Twelve’, ‘W1A’), inspired by the acclaimed French original series ‘Dix Pour Cent’ (known in the UK as ‘Call My Agent!’)
For those of you who haven’t found the original French series on Netflix yet, ‘Call My Agent!’ is set in a Parisian talent agency where the staff find themselves scrambling to keep their clients happy and keep the company afloat following the sudden death of its founder. ‘Ten Percent’ retains the essence of the French original but is relocated to a London talent agency and incorporates John Morton’s unique British sensibility while introducing new storylines and A-list cameo appearances.
The series stars Jack Davenport, Lydia Leonard, Maggie Steed, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Hiftu Quasem, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Rebecca Humphries, Harry Trevaldwyn, Tim McInnerny, Natasha Little, Edward Bluemel, Eleonore Arnaud and Jim Broadbent and includes A-list cameo appearances including Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Williams, David Oyelowo, Jessica Oyelowo, Dominic West, Emma Corrin, Kelly Macdonald, Himesh Patel, David Harewood and Clemence Poesy.
Morton writes and directs the first two episodes of the series. He is joined by Bryce Hart, who is also associate producer, Ella Road, Cat Clarke, Abigail Wilson and Keith Akushie, with Tom Williams as story editor. Jessica Swale, Sam Leifer, and M.J. Delaney direct later episodes.
From Bron Studios and Headline Pictures, the series is exec produced by David Davoli, Samantha Thomas, Steven Thibault and Aaron L. Gilbert, for Bron Studios, Christian Baute, Frank Calderon and Laurence Lenica for Headline Pictures, and David Tanner from Turbine Studios. Sarah Curtis is producer and Ben Rimmer is co-producer, with Bron’s Emma Fleischer as supervising producer.
The original French series became something of a worldwide hit when Netflix picked up the first 4 Seasons for the streaming service. There is currently a 5th Season in development alongside a movie, and a potential US remake.
‘Ten Percent‘ will launch on 28th April 2022, with all eight episodes available exclusively that day on Prime Video in the UK, Ireland and select countries worldwide.
