‘Stranger Things’: Netflix Releases Season 4, Part 2 Trailer, Premiering July

by Dave Elliott

After a brief hiatus,Stranger Things Season 4 will return for its last two episodes of the season this July, and it looks to be epic… or rather, epically bad for the residents of Hawkins…

When we returned to season four, it’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

When we left things at the end of part one, things looked precarious for everyone, and this trailer does not give us hope for this season ending in a happy place. Whilst Eleven has managed to regain her powers, her “Papa” (aka Dr. Brenner) can be seen telling our little hero that “she is not ready” and “Hawkins will fall”. Meanwhile, Hopper has been rescued by Joyce and Murray, but they still have to get out of Russia, and Nancy is trapped in the Upside Down with Vecna.

‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 stars Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair), Brett Gelman (Murray), Cara Buono (Karen Wheeler) with Matthew Modine (Dr. Brenner) and Paul Reiser (Dr. Owens).

They are joined by an additional cast of Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna), Joseph Quinn (Eddie Munson), Eduardo Franco (Argyle), Sherman Augustus (Lt. Colonel Sullivan), Mason Dye (Jason Carver), Nikola Djuricko (Yuri), Tom Wlaschiha (Dmitri), Myles Truitt (Patrick), Regina Ting Chen (Ms. Kelly), Grace Van Dien (Chrissy), Logan Riley Bruner (Fred Benson), Logan Allen (Jake), Elodie Grace Orkin (Angela), John Reynolds (Officer Callahan), Rob Morgan (Chief Powell), Joe Chrest (Ted Wheeler), Catherine Curtin (Claudia Henderson), Amybeth McNulty (Vickie) and Robert Englund (Victor Creel).

‘Stranger Things’ was created by The Duffer Brothers and is produced by Monkey Massacre Productions & 21 Laps Entertainment. The Duffer Brothers serve as executive producers on the series, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment, and Iain Paterson.

Stranger Things‘ Season 4 Volume 2 premieres Friday, 1st July 2022.
