Premieres Coming To Disney+ UK In July 2022

Whilst we’re still dealing with the hangover of a ridiculously packed June of television, Disney+ UK has brought a new selection of things to watch and keep you on the sofa when the inevitable rain hits the British summer! There are no big Marvel or Star Wars drops this month, but we do see the heroes of ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ return, along with the kids from the overly-titled *deep inhale of breath* ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’! There is also an interesting selection of new and classic films to keep you entertained. Here are the July premieres on Disney+ UK.

Disney+ Originals & UK Exclusive July Highlights

The Princess – 1st July 2022

In The Princess, a beautiful, strong-willed young royal refuses to wed the cruel sociopath to whom she is betrothed, and is kidnapped and locked in a remote tower of her father’s castle. With her scorned, vindictive suitor intent on taking her father’s throne, the princess must protect her family and save the kingdom, no matter what the cost.

America The Beautiful – 4th July 2022

https://youtu.be/p8jYJQzcKpY

From the award-winning producers of Planet Earth, Frozen Planet and the Disneynature films, America The Beautiful, narrated by Michael B. Jordan, is the jaw-dropping story of North America’s picturesque lands and its amazing animals. The continent is the most diverse and extreme land on Earth; the only place where you can find every landscape, from Arctic ice caps to baking deserts and everything in between. We take a journey through America’s most spectacular regions – the mountainous Northwest, the steamy South, the arid West and the endless Heartland.

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 3 – 6th July 2022

‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ explores the high-pressure experiences of first responders, including police officers, firefighters and dispatchers, who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations in Texas. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. The show draws from real-life, high-pressure experiences of first responders who regularly face heart-stopping situations that are often unpredictable, intense and uplifting at the same time.

The Bob’s Burgers Movie – 13th July 2022

‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’ is an animated musical comedy-mystery-adventure based on the long-running, Emmy®-winning series. After a ruptured water main creates a sinkhole in front of Bob’s Burgers and blocks the entrance, Bob and Linda Belcher struggle to keep the business afloat, as the kids try to solve a mystery that could save the restaurant.

Zombies 3 – 15th July 2022

It’s Zed and Addison’s final year at Seabrook, which has become a haven for monsters and humans. Zed is trying to get a football scholarship to be the first Zombie to attend college, and Addison is organising an International Cheer-Off. When intergalactic outsiders show up to compete in the Cheer-Off, Seabrook grows suspicious that they may be looking for more than a friendly competition.

FLEE – 15th July 2022

Award-winning, critically acclaimed Flee is a powerful and innovative animated documentary exploring the refugee experience from the inside, giving a voice to one man’s moving story. Told mostly through animation, Flee weaves together a stunning tapestry of images and memories to tell the deeply affecting story of a man grappling with his traumatic past in order to find his true self and the real meaning of home.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Season 3 – 27th July 2022

The Wildcats head to Camp Shallow Lake, a California sleepaway camp, where they and their fellow campers are primed for an unforgettable summer ripe with romance, curfew-less nights and a taste of the great outdoors. Things heat up AND cool down when they take on a high-stakes production of Frozen and film a drama-filled docu-series along the way. Will the Wildcats be able to show who is “best in snow” without leaving anyone out in the cold?

Under the Banner of Heaven – 27th July 2022

https://youtu.be/IDRqWtwbiSM

Under the Banner of Heaven is an original limited series inspired by the true-crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer, which follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. As Detective Jeb Pyre investigates events that transpired within the Lafferty family, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion and the violent consequences of unyielding faith. What Pyre, a devout Mormon, unearths leads him to question his own faith.

Not Okay – 29th July 2022

Not Okay follows Danni Sanders (Zoey Deutch), an aimless aspiring writer with no friends, no romantic prospects and – worst of all – no followers, who fakes an Instagram-friendly trip to Paris in the hopes of boosting her social media clout. When a terrifying incident strikes the City of Lights, Danni unwittingly falls into a lie bigger than she ever imagined. She “returns” a hero, even striking up an unlikely friendship with Rowan (Mia Isaac), a school-shooting survivor dedicated to societal change, and scooping up the man of her dreams Colin (Dylan O’Brien). As an influencer and advocate, Danni finally has the life and audience she always wanted. But it’s only a matter of time before the facade cracks, and she learns the hard way that the Internet loves a takedown.
