‘SurrealEstate’: Sky Sci-Fi Sets July Premiere For Paranormal Drama
Sky Sci-Fi, the rebranded Syfy UK channel, has set a July UK premiere for Canadian paranormal drama ‘SurrealEstate‘ the UK broadcaster has announced.
The series follows realtor Luke Roman (Tim Rozon – ‘Schitt’s Creek’, ‘Wynonna Earp’) and an elite team of specialists that handle the cases no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Researching, investigating and “fixing” the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure – and closings – even as they struggle with demons of their own.
Alongside Rozon, the series stars Sarah Levy (‘Schitt’s Creek’) as agent Susan Ireland; Adam Korson (‘This Is Us’) as paranormal researcher and former Catholic priest, Phil Orley; Maurice Dean Wint (‘Haven’) as technology specialist August Ripley; Savannah Basley (‘Wynonna Earp’) as Zooey L’Enfant; And Tennille Read (‘Workin’ Moms’) as Megan Donovan.
The series comes from creator and showrunner George R. Olson who also serves as executive producer along with Lance Samuels (‘The Indian Detective’), Daniel Iron (‘Ginny & Georgia’), Armand Leo (‘The Detail’), and Danishka Esterhazy (‘The Banana Splits Movie’). The series has been renewed for a second season.
Sky Sci-Fi launches at EPG number 152 from 11am on Tuesday, 26 July 2022. Classic shows you can catch on the rebranded channel include full series of ‘Stargate SG1’, ‘Star Trek: DS9’, ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’, ‘Quantum Leap’ (the original series, not the new one), ‘Fringe’, ‘Watchmen’ and more. There is also Stephen King’s 1990 mini-series ‘IT’ featuring Tim Curry’s iconic terrifying appearance as Pennywise.
