‘Gen V’: ‘The Boys’ College Spin-Off Series Gets A Title

Whilst there is no new episode of The Boys this week following the third season’s gory and spectacular finale last week, the producers have dropped a name and video for the new spin-off series – Gen V.

Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), ‘Gen V’ is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games – with all the heart, satire, and raunch of ‘The Boys’.

The series is currently in production, but they did release a video on social media of the cast announcing the title:

The new series stars Jaz Sinclair (‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’), Chance Perdomo (‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’), Lizze Broadway (‘Here and Now’), Shelley Conn (‘Bridgerton’), Maddie Phillips (‘Teenage Bounty Hunters’), London Thor (‘Shameless’), Derek Luh (‘Shining Vale’), Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger (‘The Staircase’, ‘The Terminal List’), Sean Patrick Thomas (‘For All Mankind’), and Marco Pigossi (‘Invisible City’).

Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe, and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers on ‘Gen V’, and Brant Engelstein serves as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television Studios and Amazon Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film. Loreli Alanís serves as executive in charge for Point Grey Pictures.

Gen V‘ does not yet have a premiere date, but will air on Prime Video in the UK and internationally. If you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add it via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
