‘Wolf Pack’: Sarah Michelle Gellar Trades Vampires For Werewolves Joining Paramount+ Series

We’re about to find out what happens when a former vampire slayer comes face-to-face with werewolves as it’s announced Sarah Michelle Gellar will join new Paramount+ series Wolf Pack.

Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, ‘Wolf Pack’ follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature. Gellar stars as Arson Investigator Kristin Ramsey, a highly regarded expert in her field and no stranger to personal loss, brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire which may have also led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorising Los Angeles.

Emmy winner Sarah Michelle Gellar is best known for her work on the small screen in the titular iconic role of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. She also has starred in CBS’ ‘The Crazy Ones’ opposite Robin Williams, the CW’s ‘Ringer’, and ‘All My Children’. Gellar also serves as the voice of the Seventh Sister Inquisitor on the popular animated series, ‘Star Wars: Rebels’. Her film credits include ‘Southland Tales’, ‘The Grudge’, ‘Scooby Doo’, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’, ‘Scream 2’, and ‘Cruel Intentions’.

Gellar joins the previously announced cast of Armani Jackson (‘Honor Society’, ‘Chad’) as Everett, Bella Shepard (‘iCarly’, ‘The Wilds’) as Blake, Chloe Rose Robertson (‘Wildflower’) as Luna and Tyler Lawrence Gray (‘Our Town’, ‘Macbeth’) as Harlan.

Jeff Davis, the man behind MTV’s hugely popular ‘Teen Wolf’ series, serves as writer and executive producer on ‘Wolf Pack’. Davis is also writing and producing the upcoming film ‘Teen Wolf The Movie’ for Paramount+. Whilst ‘Teen Wolf’ and ‘Wolf Pack’ are based on separate source material, according to Paramount+, the movie will set up the events of the new series, so there will be some connection, even if it isn’t a direct spin-off as such.

Alongside Davis, Joe Genier serves as Executive Producer and Mike Elliott is Co-Executive Producer for Capital Arts. Jason Ensler serves as Executive Producer and Pilot Director. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, where Davis is under a multi-year deal.

Wolf Pack‘ does not yet have a premiere date, but will air on Paramount+ in the UK, Ireland and US, along with Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia, South Korea, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France later in 2022. If you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
