Geektown Radio 359: ‘Inside Man’, ‘He Who Fights With Monsters’, ‘Delete’ Reviews, Assessing ‘She-Hulk’, Plus TV News & UK Air Dates!

This week’s Geektown Radio podcast sees Darryl from Hollywood North News return to the co-host chair to chat through and review the last seven days on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates.

Darryl kicks off his reviews this week chatting about ‘Inside Man’, the new BBC drama from Steven Moffat, packed with an impressive cast, but does it live up to the sum of its parts? He also reviews ‘Delete’ parts one and two, which is a Canadian tv movie recently released on Prime Video UK, full of familiar faces, about a rogue AI. He also reviews something called a “book” (a thing made of paper, bound together)… In this case, ‘He Who Fights With Monsters’, a LitRPG novel series from author Shirtaloon. Meanwhile, I have been delving into the game Matt mentioned last week, ‘Disney Dreamlight Valley’, so give my thoughts on that. We also dissect ‘She-Hulk’ – What we think now we’re six episodes in. What is working, what isn’t, and what we’d like to see in the future.

Over in the TV news, we chat through all the renewals, cancellations and pick-ups. We discuss changes at The CW in the USA, why the UK doesn’t seem to be getting new shows from AMC, and ‘The Daily Show’ getting a new host. We also have a pile of MCU news from ‘Deadpool 3’ and ‘Thunderbolts’, plus casting for Apple TV+ series ‘Time Bandits’.
