Geektown Radio 365: ‘A Man Called Otto’, ‘The Rig’, ‘IXIOM’ Reviews, Plus Geektown Awards Results, TV News & UK Air Dates!

We are back with our first episode of the Geektown Radio podcast of 2023, and I’m joined by Matt from Entertainment Talk in the co-host chair to chat through and review the week on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates. Plus we have the in-depth results of this year’s Geektown Awards!

We start things off with a review of the stuff we have been watching and playing whilst we’ve been off-air the last few weeks. Matt begins with a review of Tom Hanks film ‘A Man Called Otto’, along with chatting through the Apple series ‘The Mosquito Coast’ season two, and ‘Mythic Quest’ season three. Meanwhile, I discuss my holiday gaming obsession, the space base-building game, ‘IXIOM’, along with reviewing Prime Video series ‘The Rig’, and Netflix miniseries ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’.

In the news, we run through all the renewals, cancellations and pick-ups such as Netflix killing more shows, AMC’s bloodbath, and an upcoming new series starring Kiefer Sutherland. We also go “in-depth” on The Geektown Awards. Whilst the winners were announced on the website, here on the podcast, we give you the top five rankings in each category, along with the exact percentages, so you can see exactly how close some of them were! Listen to it all below!
