We are back with a new episode of the Geektown Radio podcast, and I’m joined by our “film reviewer” Gray in the co-host chair to chat through and review the week on UK TV, film and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates.
Gray has, of course, not managed to watch any films yet this month, but has been spending time on ITVX, bringing us a couple of tv reviews. First, we talk about ‘You & Me’ a three-part romantic dramedy starring Harry Lawtey, Jessica Barden, and Sophia Brown. He also gives us his thoughts on Season 5 of ‘Unforgotten’ and new co-lead Sinéad Keenan. Meanwhile, I took a rare dive into reality tv with the return of ‘Challenge Anneka’ to our screens after 15yrs, and also, rather late to the party, discuss Season 5 of ‘The Crown’.
In the news section, we run through all the renewals, cancellations and pick-ups, discussing the fate of Disney+ series ‘Willow’, the return of ‘Bel-Air’, and a monster renewal for ‘Taskmaster’. We also talk casting for ‘The Penguin’ series, an interesting movie-to-tv drama from the creators of ’24’ & ‘Homeland’, and a possible new ‘Doctor Who’ spin-off. Listen below!
