Star Trek: Strange New Worlds To Make “Holographic Panel” Appearance At MCM Comic-Con London

Well… This is something of a first… You could say they “boldly go where no one has gone before”… The cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds are set to make a “holographic panel” appearance at MCM Comic-Con when the convention beams into London later this month!

To celebrate the Star Trek universe and the return of ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ with a second 10-episode season on Paramount+, fan favourites Rebecca Romijn (Una Chin-Riley), Ethan Peck (Spock), Celia Rose Gooding (Nyota Uhura) and Melissa Navia (Erica Ortegas) will all be beamed in as live holograms for an exclusive panel hosted by Alex Zane. Kicking off the weekend with a bang, the panel will take place on Friday, 26th May 2023 at 5pm BST and will give Star Trek fans the chance to hear behind-the-scenes details from the upcoming series, see an exclusive clip and more.

Tickets are still available for MCM Comic-Con London, and is a great weekend if you’ve never been before. Other guests at this event include the cast of ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ and ‘Our Flag Means Death’, gaming guests from ‘God Of War’ and ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’, plus lots of cosplay, geeky merch, and other fun things to do. ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike commanded the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series features fan favourites Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock, in the years before Captain Kirk guided the Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.

The series also sees the return of Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga. In addition, season two features the return of special guest star Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk and new cast member Carol Kane in a recurring role as Pelia.

Season 2 of ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ includes a special crossover episode featuring both live-action and animation, with ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ Ensign Beckett Mariner and Ensign Brad Boimler joining the U.S.S. Enterprise. The episode was directed by ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ and ‘Star Trek: Picard’ actor, director, and beard-wearer extraordinaire, Jonathan Frakes.

Season two of ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners. Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Jenny Lumet, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Heather Kadin, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ Season 2 will premiere Thursday, 15th June 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode season will drop weekly on Thursdays.
