Mickey Haller is back, as Netflix releases a trailer for ‘The Lincoln Lawyer‘ Season 2 which premieres this July on the streaming service. This season will be split with part one in July, and part two landing in August.
Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ follows Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.
In the first season, we are introduced to Mickey, who has recently undergone surgery and battled a pill addiction. Following the sudden death of his colleague, Mickey reenters the legal profession and takes over all of his cases. Not only does Mickey stand out by operating out of his car, but he also takes the concept of a family business to a whole new level… He works alongside his ex-wife and prosecutor, Maggie (portrayed by Neve Campbell), as well as his former spouse and assistant, Lorna (played by Becki Newton).
The second season is based on the fourth book in Connelly’s novel series, The Fifth Witness. The story follows Lisa Trammel, who has been a client of Mickey’s for eight months, and so far he’s stopped the bank from taking her house. But now the bank’s CEO has been found beaten to death – and Lisa is about to be indicted for murder…
‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Season 2 sees Garcia-Rulfo reprise his leading role, alongside returning cast Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Angus Sampson, Jazz Raycole, Krista Warner, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine and Elliott Gould. Joining the cast for Season 2 are Lana Parrilla (‘Once Upon a Time’, ‘Why Women Kill’), playing the aforementioned Lisa Trammell, along with Yaya DaCosta, Matt Angel, Angélica María and David Clayton Rogers.
David E. Kelley (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Goliath’) is the series as writer/exec producer, alongside Ted Humphrey (‘The Good Wife’, ‘Wisdom of the Crowd’) as co-showrunner/exec producer/writer, and Ross Fineman (‘Goliath’, ‘Big Sky’) as exec producer. Dailyn Rodriguez (‘Queen of the South’) joins Humphrey as co-showrunner. A+E serves as the studio.
‘The Lincoln Lawyer‘ Season 2 Part One premieres Thursday, 6th July 2023, with Part Two premiering Thursday, 3rd August 2023 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
