Sky released the new teaser trailer for the six-episode limited series ‘The Regime‘, starring Academy Award-winner Kate Winslet, written by Will Tracy and directed by Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs, coming to Sky Atlantic and Streaming Service NOW in 2024.

Kate Winslet stars as the chancellor of the unnamed European country, and is joined by Matthias Schoenaerts (Django, Amsterdam), Guillaume Gallienne (The French Dispatch, Me, Myself and Mum), Andrea Riseborough (Matilda the Musical, ZeroZeroZero), Martha Plimpton (A Town Called Malice, The Real O’Neals) and Hugh Grant.
If the trailer is giving you ‘Succession’ vibes, there is a reason for that! Will Tracy, who wrote on ‘Succession’, serves as showrunner and writer. Stephen Frears (A Very English Scandal, Philomena, The Queen) and Jessica Hobbs (The Crown, The Split, Broadchurch) direct the drama. Seth Reiss (The Menu), Sarah DeLappe (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Gary Shteyngart (Succession) and Jen Spyra (The Late Show) also write. Tracy exec produces alongside Frank Rich, Tracey Seaward, Winslet, Frears and Hobbs.
‘The Regime‘ does not yet have a UK premiere date but will air on Sky Atlantic and Streaming Service NOW in 2024. The limited series comes to HBO and streaming service MAX in the USA on March 3rd, 2024.
