UKTV’s Alibi Sets February Premiere For ‘Miss Scarlet and The Duke’ Season 4

Fearless female detective Eliza Scarlet & William “The Duke” Wellington return

by Dave Elliott

Alibi has set a February UK premiere date for Miss Scarlet and The Duke Season 4 the UKTV broadcaster has announced.

‘Miss Scarlet and the Duke’ follows Kate Phillips (‘Peaky Blinders’, ‘The Crown’) as the fearless female detective Eliza Scarlet, and Stuart Martin (‘Army of Thieves’, ‘Jamestown’) as her childhood friend and will-they-won’t-they love interest, Inspector William “The Duke” Wellington.

As we head into Season 4, its a new year, with new challenges. Eliza has taken over the business of Nash & Sons (not that he has any sons) and things are not going entirely smoothly, although help comes from some familiar sources. Outside of work, her relationship with William “The Duke” Wellington builds towards a looming decision that will shape both their lives.

In the opening episode, Eliza teams up with Duke to investigate a burglary in a high-end brothel whose clients include important members of the British government.

Alongside Philips and Martin season four also sees the return of Felix Scott (The Crown) as the devious Patrick Nash; Cathy Belton (Philomena) as the ever-kind and supportive Ivy Woods; Evan McCabe (Doctor Who) as the Duke’s unofficial mentee Detective Oliver Fitzroy; Simon Ludders (Bridgerton) as the high-strung Mr. Potts; and Tim Chipping (EastEnders) as the tough and occasionally shifty Detective Phelps. Joining them are new faces Paul Bazely (Black Mirror) and Curtis Kantsa (The Sandman).

The drama is created and written by Rachael New (‘Grantchester’, ‘The Mallorca Files’), with Ben Edwards (‘Trollied’, ‘Stella’) as a contributing writer. PBS Masterpiece and Element 8 Entertainment produce the series.

Miss Scarlet and The Duke‘ Season 4 premieres Wednesday, 7th February 2024 at 9pm on UKTV’s Alibi Channel.
