Finally!

After months (if not, years) of speculation, Marvel has finally revealed the actors who will make up ‘The Fantastic Four’ when the first family of Marvel join the MCU on July 25, 2025 – Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach & Joseph Quinn.

Pedro Pascal will take the role of Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic). The “internet daddy” takes on another “daddy role, following his stints as ‘The Mandalorian’ and as Joel in ‘The Last Of Us’.

Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm (aka The Invisible Woman). Kirby is probably best known for her role as Princess Margaret in the Netflix drama series The Crown’, and for appearing in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ film franchise. More recently, she played Empress Joséphine in the historical drama ‘Napoleon’ for Apple.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach plays Ben Grimm (aka The Thing). Moss-Bachrach has recently been starring in smash hit drama ‘The Bear’, and also popped up in Disney’s other big franchise, appearing in ‘Andor’. You may also know him from ‘The Dropout’, ‘NOS4A2’ and drama ‘The Last Ship’.

Joseph Quinn takes the role of Johnny Storm (aka The Human Torch). Quinn is undoubtedly best known for his stand-out performance as Eddie Munson in ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4. He also has appeared in ‘Strike: Lethal White’, ‘Catherine the Great’, ‘Les Misérables’ and is due to pop up in the upcoming film ‘Gladiator 2’.

This is, of course, not the first time these characters have been on film, having previously had two movies in 2005 and 2007 whilst still under Fox ownership, followed by the… not well received… 2015 “reboot”. John Krasinski also played a variant of Reed Richards in 2022’s ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. Matt Shakman, who previously directed Disney+’s excellent ‘WandaVision’ is set to helm this new movie, which will be the first proper introduction of the Fantastic Four into the MCU.

‘The Fantastic Four’ will come to cinemas on July 25, 2025.
