Sky Witness has picked up the WB/FOX drama ‘The Cleaning Lady‘, starring ‘Daredevil’s Elodie Yung it has been revealed.
When whip-smart Cambodian doctor Thony De La Rosa (Yung) comes to the United States for medical treatment to save her ailing son, she soon discovers her path won’t be as straightforward as she had hoped. As the system quickly fails her, pushing her into hiding, she resolves not to allow herself to be beaten down and marginalized and becomes a cleaning lady for organized crime. Using her cunning and intelligence, Thony forges her own path in the criminal underworld, doing whatever she has to to survive.
The series stars Elodie Yung (“The Hitman’s Bodyguard”, “Daredevil”), Oliver Hudson (“Scream Queens”), Adan Canto (“Designated Survivor”), Martha Millan (“The OA”) and newcomers Valentino and Sebastien LaSalle.
Miranda Kwok (“The 100”) wrote the pilot and serves as executive producer on the series. Melissa Carter (“Queen Sugar”) is showrunner and executive producer. Shay Mitchell (“You,” “Pretty Little Liars”), David Dean Portelli, Rose Marie Vega and Paola Suarez also are executive producers. Michael Offer (“Homeland,” “Longmire”) served as an executive producer on the pilot, which he also directed.
The drama, which is about to begin its 3rd Season on the US FOX channel, is produced by Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment.
‘The Cleaning Lady‘ Season 1 is set to premiere on Monday, 11th March 2024 at 9pm on Sky Witness in the UK. For those of you in the USA, the series returns for Season 3 on March 5th at 9pm on FOX.
