Prime Video is returning to Lakeview one last time as the streaming service renews the sci-fi comedy ‘Upload‘ starring Robbie Amell for a 4th and final season.
From Emmy-winning writer Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation, King of the Hill), ‘Upload’ is set in a technologically advanced future where holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D food printers are the norm. Alongside Robbie Amell as Nathan, the comedy stars Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, and Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy.

The most recent season of the comedy left things on a bit of a cliffhanger (SPOILER AHEAD!) Nora and freshly downloaded Nathan found themselves navigating their relationship in the real world while racing to stop the mysterious conspiracy and the shady dealings of Horizen that threatened to destroy millions of lives. Meanwhile, back at Lakeview, temp Tinsley (Mackenzie Cardwell) realises Nate is missing, and fearing getting fired, restores him from a backup… This means there are now two Nates – one in the real world, in a failing clone body, and one in the virtual afterlife.
As we reach the season climax, both Nates have snuck into the virtual “Grey Market” to expose Horizen’s crimes, but unfortunately are captured. Before being hauled away, one of the Nates gets out a call to the gang in the real world who are gathered at Nate’s mom’s apartment to reveal one of the Nates has been killed… However, the season ends before he can tell them which one!
“When I conceived Upload many years ago, I had the story arced out over four seasons, so I am thrilled to make the ending the fans deserve and the characters and creative team have been working towards,” commented creator Greg Daniels. “Jen Salke and Vernon Sanders have been our Angels and they deserve 5 stars.”
