‘Brassic’ Renewed For Season 7 By Sky Before Season 6 Launch Later This Year

Season 6 coming "later in 2024"

by Dave Elliott

The Brassic gang are not going anywhere, as Sky has announced the show has been renewed for a 7th Season before Season 6 launches later this year on Sky Max.

The series stars Joe Gilgun as Vinnie, a Lancashire lad with bipolar disorder, who, alongside his anarchic group of friends, struggle to make money, in… less than legal ways… often leading to much bigger problems than they started with!

‘Season seven! How did this happen?!?,” said co-creator Danny Brocklehurst “Brassic is a delight to make and it’s a privilege to create more chaos for our loyal and loving audience.”

The most recent 5th Season saw Vinnie, Erin (Michelle Keegan), Tommo (Ryan Sampson), Ash (Aaron Heffernan), Cardi (Tom Hanson), Carole (Bronagh Gallagher), Sugar (Joanna Higson), JJ (Parth Thakerar), Farmer Jim (Steve Evets) and Dr Chris (Dominic West) take on even more escapades.

“We couldn’t be happier that Vinnie and the gang will return for another raucous ride, bringing heart, laughs and Farmer Jim’s unrivalled swear count back to Sky for a seventh series,” adds Alex Moody, Head of Comedy Commissioning.

BAFTA-nominated ‘Brassic’, is one of Sky’s longest-running comedy series and is produced by Calamity Films and co-created by Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst. The seventh season, which will begin pre-production this Autumn, will see the show hit its 50th episode milestone, with Season 6 launching later this year. It is written by Brocklehurst, Alex Ganley and Danielle Ward. The executive producers are David Livingston for Calamity, alongside Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst.

“It’s a great treat to be commissioned for a 50th hour of the madness that is Brassic,” said David Livingstone, Calamity Films. “All of us cannot wait.”

Brassic‘ Season 6 does not yet have an exact premiere date but is likely to land in Autumn 2024 on Sky Max in the UK and on streaming service NOW with an Entertainment pass. The series airs on Hulu in the USA. If you want to keep track of this or any other show, add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when they get a UK premiere date.
