
ITV has set a September premiere date for ‘The Tower‘ Season 3 which sees Gemma Whelan and team return in the acclaimed crime drama based on Kate London’s novel series.
‘The Tower 3: Gallowstree Lane’ is based on Kate London’s third novel, and is adapted by screenwriter Patrick Harbinson (Homeland, Fearless, 24). The drama sees Gemma Whelan return as DS Sarah Collins, along with Tahirah Sharif, who was BAFTA-nominated for her role as PC Lizzie Adama for the first series, Jimmy Akingbola as DC Steve Bradshaw and Emmett J Scanlan as DI Kieran Shaw.
Nearly two years have passed since we last saw Sarah Collins (Whelan). Now, she is called to investigate the brutal stabbing of a teenager. Her investigation quickly clashes with a covert operation led by Kieran Shaw (Scanlan), who is collaborating with Sarah’s former partner, Steve Bradshaw (Akingbola), now working deep undercover. Meanwhile, Lizzie Adama (Sharif) has returned to Farlow, juggling her new responsibilities as a Detective with her family life. Her path and Kieran’s are about to cross…
Mammoth Screen and Windhover Films produce the four-part drama in association with ITV Studios. Patrick Harbinson executive produces the series alongside Mammoth Screen’s Damien Timmer and Charlotte Webber. Charles Bates produces and Rene van Pannevis (Looted) directs. Polly Hill oversees production of the drama for ITV.
‘The Tower’ is distributed internationally by ITV Studios, with season one having sold into over 90 territories. HBO Europe, Canal+, Britbox North America and Australia, Virgin Media Ireland and TVNZ are among the platforms and broadcasters to license it.
‘The Tower‘ Season 3 premieres Monday, 2nd September 2024 at 9pm on ITV. The four episodes will air nightly at 9pm daily on ITV with all episodes on ITVX.
