‘Emily in Paris’ Renewed For Season 5 By Netflix

by Dave Elliott

Emily will be back for more European adventures as Netflix announced a 5th Season renewal for the romantic comedy-drama Emily In Paris.

The series began by following Emily, played by Lily Collins, a marketing whiz who spreads her wings in life and love after landing her dream job in Paris. The fourth season, which has recently returned to the streaming service for is “part two” batch of episodes, saw Emily spark up a romance with a handsome Italian fashion scion and then move into an Italian apartment to open a Rome office for Agence Grateau.

The fifth season will continue that romance with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), meaning the show will be set in Rome and Paris. “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome,” said creator Darren Star. “It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris, but she’s going to have a presence in Rome.”

Alongside Collins, the series stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie, Emily’s boss at Savoir in Paris; Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Emily’s first friend in Paris; Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Emily’s neighbour and on/off love interest;  Samuel Arnold as Julien and Bruno Gouery as Luc, Emily’s co-workers; Camille Razat as Camille, Emily’s friend, and Gabriel’s former girlfriend; And William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, one of Emily’s clients.

The series comes from Darren Star, who is creator and writer, and EPs alongside Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Alison Brown, and Robin Schiff. It is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions, and Jax Media.

Emily In Paris‘ Seasons 1-4 are available now on Netflix worldwide. If you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
