Some nice news for Star Wars fans. The upcoming series ‘Skeleton Crew‘, starring Jude Law shepherding a group of kids who find themselves lost in a galaxy far far away, will arrive a little earlier than previously announced on Disney+.
Told through the perspective of four kids, ‘Skeleton Crew’ follows them as they make a mysterious discovery of an old spaceship on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the likes of Jod Na Nawood, a mysterious character played by Jude Law.
The drama was originally announced as airing on December 4th in the UK, but they have now revealed it will drop a day earlier instead, premiering Tuesday, December 3th, at 2am GMT. Subsequent episodes will continue to stream on Wednesdays at 2am GMT.
Law’s Jod Na Nawood is a “force user” who is “someone who uses quick thinking, charm and conversation to get out of all sorts of scenarios.” He is joined by the aforementioned four kids – Ravi Cabot-Conyers who plays “Wim”, Kyriana Kratter as “KB”, Robert Timothy Smith as “Neel”, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong as “Fern”. The coming-of-age series also stars Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon and Nick Frost, who voices the droid, SM 33.
The original live-action series was created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford who serve as showrunner and exec producers. Watts also directs alongside David Lowery, the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard and Lee Isaac Chung. Executive producers are Ford, Watts, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson.
‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew‘ premieres Tuesday, 3rd December 2024 at 2am on Disney+ UK. If you’re in the USA, it premieres Monday, December 2nd, 2024, at 6pm PT.
