Rowan Atkinson returns to Netflix in a sequel to ‘Man vs Bee’, and this time it’ll be ‘Man vs Baby‘… And if you’re wondering about the slightly odd image, all is explained below!
Launching in 2022, the original ‘Man vs Bee’ introduced the renowned actor and comedian as the lovable but bumbling dad, Trevor (Atkinson), who landed a new job as a housesitter at a luxurious high-tech mansion. It should have been an easy gig, except for the annoyance of a bee, which becomes Trevor’s nemesis, leading to increasingly disastrous consequences.
After that disastrous housesitting experience, Trevor Bingley now finds himself looking after a luxurious London penthouse, with another unlikely companion he didn’t ask for…
You might be wondering about the clearly photoshopped image above… That is one of the official publicity shots released by Netflix and is actually from the hugely popular ‘Fool Me Once’ with Atkinson’s face superimposed over the top. It seems whilst ‘Man vs Baby’ is now in production, Netflix hasn’t actually got any photos from the set of the new series yet, so they photoshopped Atkinson into 4 of their other top shows instead. The other 3 images are below.
The same creative and production team from ‘Man vs Bee’ will create and produce ‘Man vs Baby’, with Atkinson and his long-time collaborator William Davies returning to co-write the series. Atkinson’s HouseSitter Productions produces, with Davies and Chris Clark (‘The Letter for the King’, ‘Johnny English’ films) as exec producers. David Kerr serves again as director, who previously directed ‘Johnny English Strikes Again’, along with multiple episodes of TV series including ‘Inside No. 9’, ‘No Offence’, and ‘Fresh Meat’.
‘Man vs Baby‘ does not have a premiere date but will air on Netflix worldwide. If you want to keep track of this or any of the shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when the next season gets a UK premiere date.
