‘The Recruit’ Season 2 Gets Trailer, Premiering Later In January On Netflix

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has released a trailer for The Recruit Season 2, which is set to premiere at the end of January on the streaming service.

From Alexi Hawley, creator of ‘The Rookie’, season one of the drama landed in 2022 and introduced us to Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo – ‘Black Adam’, ‘The Fosters’), a young CIA lawyer whose first week on the job turns upside down when he discovers a threatening letter by former asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), who plans to expose the agency unless they exonerate her of a serious crime. Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous and often absurd world of power politics and mischievous players, as he travels the world in hopes of completing his assignment and making a mark at the CIA.

In season two it’s “spy meets Seoul” as CIA Lawyer Owen Hendricks is pulled into a life-threatening espionage situation in South Korea, only to realize that the bigger threat just might be coming from inside the Agency.

The second season sees Centineo back as Hendricks, alongside Aarti Mann (Violet), Colton Dunn (Lester), Fivel Stewart (Hannah), Kristian Bruun (Janus), Kaylah Zander (Amelia), Angel Parker (Dawn) and Vondie Curtis-Hall (Walter). They are joined by Teo Yoo (Money Game, Past Lives), a man on a mission of his own, who will sacrifice everything for the people he loves, and Maddie Hasson (Impulse, The Finder), as Nichka, the volatile daughter of season one’s Max Meladze.
