Much-beloved comedy ‘Colin From Accounts‘, which airs on the BBC in the UK, created, written by, and starring Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, has been renewed for a 3rd Season from Australia’s Foxtel.
‘Colin From Accounts’ is a romantic comedy which follows Ashley and Gordon, two single(ish), complex humans who are brought together by a car accident and an injured dog. It is about flawed, funny people choosing each other and being brave enough to show their true selves, scars and all, as they navigate life together.
Seasons one and two launched in Australia to widespread critical and audience acclaim, breaking records to become the Foxtel Group’s most watched original scripted series of all time. The series has been a global success, licensed to over 150 territories around the world, premiering on the BBC in the UK and Paramount+ in the US to rave reviews.
“We’re VERY excited to bring you season three of our show. To be honest, with the way we ended season two it would have been weird not to make a third, so here we are,” said Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer. “We promise we won’t leave you hanging like that again. Probably.”
In the UK, season one launched on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in April 2023 to five-star reviews and an average audience of 2.2m (BARB 28 Day 4 Screen). Season two premiered in the UK in September 2024.
“We couldn’t pass up the opportunity for fans to see what’s next for Ash and Gordon (and Colin!),” adds Lana Greenhalgh, Head of Scripted, Foxtel Group. “Colin From Accounts has delighted fans the world over and we’re proud to commission a third season of this hilarious, chaotic and relatable series that has stolen our hearts.”
The comedy has garnered renowned international recognition and acclaim, including a recent BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best International Series, alongside winning two Gotham TV Awards (Breakthrough Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series), and three Australian Logie Awards (for Outstanding Comedy Program, Outstanding Actor and Outstanding Actress). In addition, it was the most nominated comedy series at the 2024 and 2025 AACTA Awards with 19 total nominations, including Best Narrative Comedy Series and Best Acting in Comedy for Brammall and Dyer.
“We’re so thrilled that our friends at Binge, CBS Studios, and our many international partners have made another season of Colin possible,” commented Rob Gibson and Ian Collie, Easy Tiger. Then again, did anyone really have a choice after that season two ending?”
Season 3 will be produced by Easy Tiger Productions (The Twelve, Jack Irish, Rake) and CBS Studios. The series is distributed outside Australia and New Zealand by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
‘Colin From Accounts‘ Seasons 1 & 2 can be found on BBC iPlayer in the UK. If you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
