FX/Hulu have released the full trailer for ‘Alien: Earth‘, the eagerly awaited new chapter in the Alien universe from Noah Hawley, the creator of Fargo and Legion. The series is set to premiere in August on Disney+ in the UK and FX/Hulu in the US.
Set in the year 2120, during the so-called “Corporate Era,” Earth is now ruled by five powerful companies: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. Humans coexist with synthetics (AI-powered humanoids) and cyborgs (biological beings enhanced with tech). The game changes when the young founder of Prodigy unlocks the next step in human evolution: hybrids… synthetic bodies infused with human consciousness.
The first prototype, Wendy, portrayed by Sydney Chandler (Pistol), becomes the centre of a global shift when the deep-space vessel USCSS Maginot crashes to Earth. Wendy and a ragtag unit of tactical soldiers uncover something far worse than they ever imagined… a terrifying threat that may eclipse anything the corporate powers have seen.
Timothy Olyphant (Justified, The Mandalorian) plays Kirsh, alongside Alex Lawther (The End of the F**ing World) as Hermit, Samuel Blenkin (Dracula) as Boy Kavalier, Babou Ceesay (Wolfe) as Morrow, Adrian Edmondson (Back to Life) as Atom Eins, and David Rysdahl (Oppenheimer) as Arthur Sylvia. Also appearing are Essie Davis (The Babadook) as Dame Sylvia, Lily Newmark (Sex Education) as Nibs, Erana James (The Wilds) as Curly, Adarsh Gourav (The White Tiger) as Slightly, Jonathan Ajayi (Noughts + Crosses) as Smee, Kit Young (Shadow and Bone) as Tootles, Diêm Camille (Pacific Rim: The Black) as Siberian, Moe Bar-El (Tehran) as Rashidi, and Sandra Yi Sencindiver (1899) as Yutani.
The eight-episode series is produced by FX Productions and executive produced by Noah Hawley, Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Joseph Iberti, Dana Gonzales, and Clayton Krueger.
‘Alien: Earth‘ premieres Wednesday, 13th August 2025, on Disney+ in the UK, with the first two episodes available at launch, followed by weekly releases. It debuts Tuesday, 12th August 2025, on FX/Hulu in the US.
