Apple TV unleashes colossal first look at ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ Season Two

by Dave Elliott

Apple TV has released a giant teaser for the return of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the hit sci-fi drama set in Legendary’s Monsterverse. Season 2 lands this February, bringing back its star-studded cast led by Kurt Russell (The Thing, Escape from New York), Wyatt Russell (Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Anna Sawai (Shogun), Kiersey Clemons (The Flash), Ren Watabe (461 Days of Bento), Mari Yamamoto (Pachinko), Joe Tippett (Mare of Easttown) and Anders Holm (Workaholics).

The new teaser offers a packed preview of the chaos to come as the Monsterverse series ramps things up. Season 1 followed two siblings hunting for the truth about their family’s connection to the secretive organisation known as Monarch. Their investigation revealed a decades-spanning conspiracy, a world full of Titans, and the enigmatic Army officer Lee Shaw, played at different ages by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell.

Season 2 throws audiences straight back into the fallout, with the fate of Monarch and the wider world hanging by a thread. The new episodes head to Kong’s Skull Island, introduce a mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea, and reunite heroes and villains as past secrets send shockwaves through the present day. Relationships blur, loyalties fracture, and the looming threat of a Titan event casts a long shadow over everything.

The series continues Apple TV’s multi-project partnership with Legendary Television. Behind the scenes, season two is led by showrunner Chris Black, with executive producers Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures, along with Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Lawrence Trilling and Andrew Colville. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita executive produce on behalf of Toho Co., Ltd., the home of Godzilla.

If you missed the first season, it’s streaming now on Apple TV and remains an essential watch for Monsterverse fans. Between the films, comics, games and live experiences, the Monsterverse continues to stand tall as one of the biggest connected universes in entertainment.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters‘ Season 2 premieres Friday, 27th February 2026 on Apple TV. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you will be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
