CBS has released the first full trailer for ‘Marshals’, the latest series to expand the ever-growing Yellowstone universe, with Luke Grimes reprising his fan-favourite role as Kayce Dutton. The new drama is set to arrive this March and shifts the focus away from the Dutton ranch and into the world of federal law enforcement.
In ‘Marshals’, Kayce leaves his life on the ranch behind to join the U.S. Marshals Service. Drawing on his experience as both a cowboy and a former Navy SEAL, Kayce finds himself tackling violent crime across Montana while struggling to balance the personal cost of the job with his responsibilities to family and community.
Marshals sees Luke Grimes (Yellowstone) leading the cast, alongside Gil Birmingham (Yellowstone), Mo Brings Plenty (Yellowstone), Brecken Merrill (Yellowstone), Arielle Kebbel (Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector), Ash Santos (Mayor of Kingstown), Tatanka Means (Killers of the Flower Moon), Logan Marshall-Green (The Defeated), and Brett Cullen (The Blacklist).
The official synopsis for the series reads:
“With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Kayce and his teammates – Pete Calvin, Belle Skinner, Andrea Cruz, and Miles Kittle – must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence with their duty to their families, which for Kayce includes his son Tate and his confidantes Thomas Rainwater and Mo from the Broken Rock reservation.”
The newly released trailer leans heavily into that dual identity, blending sweeping Montana landscapes with tense action, emotional fallout, and the moral weight that has long defined Kayce Dutton’s story within the Yellowstone world.
‘Marshals’ premieres Monday, 2nd March 2026 on Paramount+ in the UK.
