Peacock Renews ‘The ’Burbs’ For Season 2, With Sky & NOW To Air In The UK

by Dave Elliott

Peacock is heading back to Hinkley Hills, with The ’Burbs officially renewed for a second season in the US. In the UK and Ireland, the mystery-comedy airs on Sky and streaming service NOW.

Inspired by Imagine Entertainment’s 1989 horror-comedy film of the same name and set in present-day suburbia, ‘The ’Burbs’ follows a young couple who reluctantly relocate to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is soon turned upside down when a new neighbour moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light and deadly new threats that shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighbourhood.

The series stars Keke Palmer (One of Them Days) and Jack Whitehall (Jungle Cruise), alongside Julia Duffy (Palm Royale), Paula Pell (Girls5eva), Mark Proksch (What We Do in the Shadows) and Kapil Talwalkar (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist).

The renewal comes after a strong launch for the comedy on Peacock, where all eight episodes of season one dropped on Sunday, 8th February 2026 following a major Super Bowl push. According to Deadline, the show delivered the biggest Day 1 launch for a Peacock original, went on to rack up more than 1.7 billion viewing minutes in the US, and landed in Nielsen’s U.S. Originals Top 10 for four consecutive weeks, peaking at number two.

“We’re so thrilled that audiences loved season one of The ’Burbs, and are going to get to spend more time in Hinkley Hills with Keke and the rest of this incredible cast,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBC & Peacock.

Celeste Hughey serves as creator, writer and executive producer on the first season, alongside writer and executive producer Rachel Shukert and director and executive producer Nzingha Stewart. Executive producers also include Keke Palmer (One of Them Days), Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, Aimee Carlson for Fuzzy Door, Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner and Natalie Berkus for Imagine Entertainment, with Dana Olsen serving as co-executive producer.

The ’Burbs‘ Season 2 does not yet have a premiere date but will air on Sky and NOW in the UK. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
