Sky has found a suitably unpredictable pair to kick off the second series of ‘Saturday Night Live UK‘, with Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park, Wicked) announced as host and Irish singer-songwriter CMAT joining him as musical guest.
The live comedy series returns in September, with Academy Award-nominated Goldblum becoming the first host of the new run. Given his wonderfully distinctive delivery and ability to make pretty much any conversation take an unexpected turn, he should be a particularly entertaining fit for the live format.
He’ll be joined by BRIT Award nominee CMAT, who takes the musical guest slot for the opening episode.
As with the first series, ‘Saturday Night Live UK’ will welcome a different celebrity host and musical guest each week, alongside topical sketches, live music performances and the British version of the long-running Weekend Update segment.
The opening batch of Series 2 will consist of six episodes airing across the autumn, with additional shows already planned for early 2027.
The UK adaptation is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW, with Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels serving as Executive Producer.
‘Saturday Night Live UK‘ Series 2 premieres Saturday, 12th September 2026 on Sky and NOW.
