Directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera, The Lost Bus is a survival drama film based on the 2021 book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire by Lizzie Johnson. The story centers around a bus driver (McConaughey) that has to navigate a bus carrying children and their teacher (Ferrera) to safety through the 2018 Camp Fire, which became the deadliest fire in California history.

It is scheduled to have its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival in September, followed by a limited theatrical release in the United States on Sept. 19 and a digital streaming premiere on Apple TV on October 3.
