Sky Cinema Friday Premiere – Wuthering Heights is a romantic period drama film produced, written and directed by Emerald Fennell. Loosely based on the 1847 novel by Emily Brontë, the film is a reinterpretation intended by Fennell to “recreate the feeling of a teenage girl reading this book for the first time”. Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi respectively star as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, alongside Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell in supporting roles.

Set in 18th-century England, the film tells the dark, passionate story of an orphan named Heathcliff who is taken in by the Earnshaw family and grows up alongside Catherine “Cathy” Earnshaw. As they mature, their deep emotional bond turns into a turbulent and destructive love. When Cathy chooses to marry the wealthy Edgar Linton for social security rather than follow her feelings for Heathcliff, it sets off a chain of jealousy, revenge, and tragedy that affects everyone around them.
