You mean it’s a sci-fi series cancelled after a single season? That list, sadly, is enormous

Well this sucks! This show is really good, American Networks are the worst

Content-wise I don’t know what happened with season 3. I stopped watching after three episodes of season 1. The programme does not have a UK broadcaster. You can get it on DVD Region 1.

There is no sixth series of Primeval.

Grimm is in the list.

I’m very interested in this new series Almost Human.
If there’s anyway that geektown could send me an email or other notification. About the uk air date of this or any other shows I might be interested in I’d like to know please?

Sky does a series reminder for most shows (Sky Never Miss), not just their channels but others too

Its pretty certain it will be amazing and I’m not sure it matters if the opinions of the american market are out now . Lord knows we pay enough for our programmes and I don’t see why we should always be forever behind America when it comes to release dates for new shows and also for the release dates of new seasons of already successful shows. If people get cheesed off waiting who can blame them, I don’t. Also why isn’t there an entitlement to simulcasts? . If you pay for the damn channels via subscription to Sky or whatever I totally cannot see any good reason we don’t get stuff at the same time. Im sure there is some long drawn out reason why this does not occur but hells bells some one gets the money and if the channels I subscribe to here, are showing the programmes on those channels elsewhere ( in this big global economy of ours) I would say something is seriously wrong. And if we are talking about dishonesty I think it totally sucks that all too often you end up buying dvds of seasons for shows you love, that have already been aired in America but are a glimmer on the damn horizon in Britain.

Because it isn’t the same country. In Britain we get British shows right away. Americans get American shows right away. For imports, there’s a wait, for scheduling and rights reasons. It’s perfectly reasonable and the wait is considerably less than it was some years ago. The subscription is paid for expanded content, not a right to all foreign content immediately. Also, there isn’t space in the schedules of a country of 70million to show everything produced in a country of 300million. If you want every American show right away and don’t want to buy DVDs or download things illegally, the best solution is to move there. Putting on a common sense hat for a moment, simulcasts of US shows, even if the rights issues could be overcome, and people were willing to pay considerably more for their subscriptions, the broadcasts would be in the middle of the night in the UK.

Also, I can guarantee that UK channels will not be showing content they have bought for the UK market “elsewhere” before UK broadcast, or at all.

For the avoidance of doubt, the UK and the USA are separate countries and have been so since 1783.

Exactly when is this show on?

It doesn’t have a UK buyer so there’s nobody to answer that yet

What usually happens is that most people interested in good US shows will have seen them before they reach the UK with the delays. Then the UK broadcaster complains that no one is watching them, so they drop it.

There are no “delays”. There are often differences in scheduling between domestic US programming and, once acquired, US imports to the UK. We are not in America and there is no entitlement to simulcasts. If a programme is dropped due to “most” people already having watched it then it is entirely the fault of dishonest thieves stealing online content and not at all the fault of the UK broadcaster having purchased rights legitimately.

Clever, the one amazing sf show and the UK doesn’t broadcast it.
Well done once again UK broadcasters!

It has aired two episodes in America so it’s too early to tell whether or not it is amazing, and the fact that it has not yet been bought for the UK market certainly does not preclude that happening

Correct. We usually get them once they’ve been cancelled in the US.
