Banshee
Banshee is an new drama set in Pennsylvania Amish country following Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) as an enigmatic ex-con/martial arts expert posing as a murdered sheriff who imposes his own brand of justice while also cooking up plans that serve his own interests…
The show is created by authors Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler, who are also also exec producers, along with Alan Ball (writer/producer of Six Feet Under & True Blood), Greg Yaitanes (Director of Lost, House, Heroes, Prison Break and too many more to mention!) and Peter Macdissi (Six Feet Under).

I just wondered if there was a reason why Sky Atlantic is airing Banshee S3 so much later than the U.S. airing and a whole year after S2?
It’s very difficult trying not to see all the clips on social media. When will the schedule be confirmed for Banshee. It’s such a great drama , if would be have been lovely to air it close after US airing .
Could this be considered for Season 4?

Hi Emma,
Sky, like all of the channels, only fully lock schedules 2 weeks before broadcast. However, we do have access to some advanced air date info and listings which go up till April, and there’s no mention Banshee, which means it’s May at the earliest. Given it was aired at the same time in the US last year (Jan), and they aired it in July over here, it’s a fair bet they’ll do the same with season 3.

Well… given that Season 2 still airing, and season 3 doesn’t even air in the US till next year, I’d say you’re looking at somewhere between April-July 2015…
Can I ask why is season 2 of banshee being shown in sky Atlantic. Will it be coming to sky 1? Like season 1 did.

This is currently on Sky 1 not Atlantic!
The first run (which we cover) is on Atlantic. It is currently having a second run on Sky1.
I’ve just read online that season 2 premieres in the USA on Friday 10th Jan and in the UK on Thursday 16th January. Hope that’s right!

Unfortunately that’s definitely incorrect, Banshee won’t be back on the 16th Jan in the UK. I’d expect it around April again.

When is season 2 of banshee in the UK to start,series 1 ended on a high can’t wait for second season to start need to know if sheriff hood stays as hood.
It doesn’t have a specific date yet. First season arrived in April, so about then would be my guess.

Just answered this today on the Airdates page. It doesn’t have a US date yet and has only recently finished here. Spring seems likely but is unconfirmed.
