A US version of the beloved British show, ‘Doc Martin’. Renamed ‘Best Medicine’, the series centres on Martin Best (Josh Charles), a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child. Unfortunately, Martin’s blunt and borderline rude bedside manner rubs the quirky, needy locals the wrong way, and he quickly alienates the town, even though he’s all they’ve got.

Extremely annoying to find out last week Best medicine series 2 eps 1 & 2 had been allocated a 2 and 4 am slot on sky one.
However I can and did record them, so not too much of a problem, until I discovered that was it!
No more episodes showing on sky ones schedule this week at all. Why?
Why show 2 and no more? Ludicrous.
It’s something to do with the licensing… It seems they had to air them by a specific date as part of the contract, but don’t actually want to air the full series properly yet (which I know is annoying…). Hence the reason for sneaking the episodes out in the dead of night and not promoting them or series linking them… It should be coming in full in primetime in 2027 (probably early 2027, but not confirmed.)

watched the episodes at all knowing what I now know.
For me it was made worse by seeing repeats of other programmes being shown in the same slots this week, that just doesn’t make sense at all.
