‘Carrie’ follows Carrie White, a socially isolated teenager who has spent most of her life hidden away at home with her fiercely protective mother, Margaret. After the sudden death of her father forces Carrie into public high school, she finds herself navigating vicious classmates, a viral bullying scandal and the relentless cruelty of the social-media age.
As the pressure builds, Carrie begins to develop mysterious telekinetic abilities which grow increasingly powerful alongside her anger and adolescence. Told across eight episodes, the series expands Stephen King’s classic story by exploring the small decisions and everyday cruelties which eventually lead towards one devastating night.
