Hi, the last episode was on at midnight on Wednesday 10th December 2014.
Just been trawling through your listings and only just discovered Dallas is being cancelled. I watched the original Dallas and have watched every episode of New Dallas. Gutted that it’s being cancelled is an understatement. Should have guessed when the scheduling was changed to stupid o’clock in the morning that it was going :(
Its scheduling here in the UK will have had no bearing whatsoever on the decision taken in the US
Why does it always have to be about ratings and sponsors, just for once wouldn’t it be nice if they showed programmes because we enjoy them!

I have missed the last 2 episodes of Dallas thanks to channel 5’s meddling it is no wonder that ratings fall when they put program’s on at silly times so working people find it difficult to watch and rescheduling the times without informing the viewers shows the moronic nature of the TV companies,channel 5 also have had a similar attitude with the Walking Dead which I only found out by chance that the latest series was being shown so missed about the first 4 program’s due to lack of advertising by channel 5 and again daft scheduling putting it on one of the obscure channels like 5 USA and then with double back to back episodes between 10 and 12 at night on a Saturday,why bother getting any decent program’s when they clearly don’t want anyone to watch them,Channel 5 was a good channel but the last 3 to 4 years have rapidly gone down hill,Neighbours is another scheduling nightmare from this compnay and I’m sure other fans of other program’s have suffered similar experiences.
once again ch5 ruin a great programme as if its not bad enough to wait over 20 month to show it again but now change the day and time to midnight without even a mention of the change but then theyl need to leave room for all the rubbish repeats they show day after day instead of a great programme no wonder the fans are angry

Seems it was on at midnight. I can’t stay up that late with work the next day. I don’t have the means to record either so I am very angry.

It hasn’t been cancelled yet, but when it is, it will be a decision made in the USA.
No it’s not been cancelled. That will be a decision for TNT, the US network that owns the show.
However, it will be shown at midnight for the rest of it’s season 3 run on Channel 5 in the UK. It was moved due to terrible UK ratings, which doesn’t bode well for it’s return to the channel if it is renewed for a new season. So it *may* end up being another one of those shows that continues in the USA, but doesn’t have a UK channel… Channel 5 *may* also pick it up again, although I find that unlikely.

Channel 5 what are you doing! … Moving Dallas how can anyone enjoy following a programme if your messing with the times ? Gutted !
Why has Dallas been moved without warning? I have stayed up purposely to watch it! 12am is far too late for me that’s madness! What is wrong with these people? Why would they do that? Feeling very annoyed, I really love that program
If they want it to get good ratings then surely it should be on at 8pm or latest 9pm. Even 10pm is too late for some who have to get up early for work and this is why they’re recording it. If it was on earlier then we would watch it when it’s actually broadcast. But then what do Channel 5 know about TV anyway?!
Can’t believe channel 5 have done it again without any warning and moved Dallas to not only a new day but to the unearthly time of midnight. They obviously don’t want it to succeed as the ratings will go right down as it is on too late for people who have to work. I only noticed it had changed whilst flicking through the channels and they did exactly the same last season.
It’s on the same day- moved from 10pm to midnight. It may be because it isn’t getting the audience that it has been moved rather than the other way round. At any rate, more and more people use PVRs so the actual broadcast time is becoming far less pertinent
Yep, as Andrew said, it’s moved because it’s rating are already so bad at the 10pm slot, so they need to move it to try and put something that will rate better in it’s place.
Having said that…
There is an argument that to say that, if they hadn’t left it until 8 months after the US to air the new series (which makes it over 20 months since it last aired in the UK) it’s numbers *may* have been better in the first place…

No it is on my normal digi box epg. But had already decided to tape Dallas at midnight wednesday and the programme listed at 10pm on thursday just in case!

Does anyone know the air dates in the UK for the original Dallas series? Did it start simultaneously in the USA and the UK, or was the UK behind by a few years? Does anyone know? :)
No idea. Although it was on weekly (my mother watched that and Dynasty) we had no internet to cross-check these things and the date and time of its broadcast in foreign countries was even more irrelevant than it is now.
Same with the A-Team, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Star Trek Next Generation and anything from the 20th Century. Although we had the internet for half the 90s, it bore little resemblance to what kids are used to these days!
That said, I can pretty much guarantee you without checking that it certainly did not start simultaneously, but in those days, unless you had family in America or Canada, you’d never know or care when it was on telly there.

After a bit of internet digging, this is what I could find…
The original 5 episode 1st season aired 5th Sept 1978 in the UK (US air date was April 2, 1978). This ran straight into Season 2, which was a full 24 eps. and aired 3rd October 1978 in the UK. This was only a few weeks after the US air date of September 23, so only a few weeks behind. The following seasons seem to keep within a few months of the US air date after that. They were never broadcast simultaneously though. :)

Promo ads today for new season dramas includes Dallas with Wentworth and Under the Dome and states they are coming soon. Hopefully we will finally get a date.
Wait for the dvd, get it from Amazon, season 3 will be out before channel 5 decide whether to show it or not ……
Can’t believe Channel 5 haven’t decided whether to show season 3 yet. When do you think the DVD will be available? If I buy the DVD will it work in the UK? Since its probably coming from the USA isn’t it?
DVDs are released per region. Region 2 is Europe and therefore isn’t coming from the USA. Region 1 is North America. With both seasons 1 and 2, the region 2 disc was released well before region 1. At any rate, you will still have the UK broadcast before either.
am fed up cheakin this site how long is it since andrew has even replyed to anyones comment to keep us up to date when dallas will start ment to be summer well we near into july am thinking ch 5 is fobbing the fans of lets us no once and for all if its being shown or not the fans deserve no less x

Can’t wait for another series!…almost summer now! Dallas is so good! Every episode is action packed and the charaters are brilliant :)
I emailed Channel 5 in March and their response was there was no plans or date to show season 3 :-(

any exact date yet for when season 3 will air its best programme on tv love josh henderson and can remember 25 years ago going into labour with my son while watching the original, so it has a place in my heart so hurry up ch5 as i cant wait much longer love it soooo much x
when is Dallas 3 going to be on in UK channel 5 ? please give us a date it is shame it not shown in winter months !!!! as we are into summer months and we dont have time to watch TV in summer months too busy lots to do just wish it would have been in winter months would have made your TV ratings high
It’s going to be on in the summer. There isn’t a specific date yet. That’s certainly going to be more popular than holding it and waiting until winter. But don’t worry- it’s usually on at 9pm and by then it’s cooler and darker than the middle of the day.

Dallas will air in the UK, but not until the Summer, so you’ll have to hold on a little longer. :)

Channel 5 confirmed it will be Summer as it says in the listing, but can’t be more accurate than that at the moment though.
