We here in the USA no longer seem to be able to make TV of this caliber.
Costume dramas, no. But American television’s ability in recent years to produce some very high calibre contemporary drama is pleasing. Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, The Shield and of course love it or hate it, the one that revitalised American TV- 24.
