First, I have to inform those of you in the UK that Flashpoint was a CANADIAN Show, shot and produced in Toronto, Ontario. The show was picked up in the US by CBS in 2008 because of the writers strike and their need for supplemental or replacement programming. The show, which aired in over 75 countries around the world, was a simpler type of Cop show that actually revolved around the character ensemble and not showboating the problems they faced. This style of programming was different than American style shows and CBS stopped airing it when the US writer strike ended. The show was then picked up by ION Entertainment, and unlike many American show that stick around too long, the Canadian Team decided to end the show at the end of Season 5 (Which the American audience was told was season 4 – They missed the entire first season because of how the show was picked up). It is too bad they ended it when they did, as they could have easily taken the show a few more seasons because the quality and audience were there… But, again, being Canadian, they don’t follow the American way of handling things and left us all, really wanting more, but satisfied with what we saw..

In the UK this is Season THREE, not four. Season 2 ended with Ed’s cliffhanger. This is what they they are tagged as on Sky.

Hi Angus,

The season which starts to air 12 November 2012 at 6:00pm on Universal is season 4.
I have altered the text though.

Cheers,

The season labelling is incorrect in the UK. Season 4 was labelled 3 and 5 as 4. However, the final season airs in December in the Uk .
