Intergalactic UK & US TV Premiere Date

by Dave Elliott

Characterful, action-packed and at times outrageously funny, the show follows Ash, a young flight cadet falsely imprisoned before becoming embroiled in an audacious prison break-out. Across their perilous escape through space, this disparate gang of dynamic women fight, fall in love and betray each other. But one thing is for certain, the further they travel from Earth, the closer they come to understanding who they truly are.

As is unfortunately common with UK sci-fi TV shows that don’t have “Doctor Who” in the title, it lasted about 20 seconds before being cancelled. It’s a shame too since UK sci-fi dramas aimed at adults like Intergalactic are very rare and Intergalactic was actually pretty good, but it now lacks a proper ending as the Season 1 ending was just a set up for a Season 2 that now won’t happen.

Looks like it’s back to US and Canadian TV shows for me then. If it wasn’t for those two countries then sci-fi TV shows for adults would be almost non-existent, and the film industry these days sadly doesn’t have much interest in mainstream blockbusters that aren’t aimed at kids.
