The first two seasons only started in June in the UK. It is likely that season 3 will follow suit.

Universal are up to their bad habits again! Anyone know why they are not showing the last episode of the series Motive (S1, E14 – The Dark Corner). Was scheduled at 9pm on Thursdays, weekly, but Bates Motel now filling time slot and Universal Channel website not listing E14 anywhere!? (Episode information retrieved from IMDB).

What are Universal’s bad habits?

The first series of Motive has 13 episodes. The final episode 13 airs directly after 12. The Dark Corner is complementary content which was available on the Canadian broadcaster’s website, not a 14th episode (and is in fact eight short “webisodes”). As such it may not have been part of the rights deal.

Universals bad habits are that they sometimes swap the order of the episodes or drop one because its content are “too controversial/too risky” for a particular time slot and don’t inform the watchers. A big problem when watching a series that has linked story lines. They did it with Lie to Me and In Plain Sight to name 2.

Thanks for the info re episode 14.
