Once a high-flying financial analyst, Frankie was brought crashing back down to Earth when her hard-driving lifestyle led to chronic kidney failure that required a transplant. Takinghersecondchanceasinspiration, she quit her previous stressful job to train for a whole new job that is even more stressful – saving other people’s lives in return.
Eight years later, Frankie is starting her first shift in the very department where she was saved – renal surgery. But her hopes for a bright new future of doing good deeds are shaken when she comes up against an ailing health system and a stubborn old boys’ club among surgeons who are not interested in changing the status quo.
