The People v. Gorilla Grodd is an eight-part half-hour comedy set within the DC Universe, starring Skyler Gisondo as Daily Planet reporter Jimmy Olsen and Jimmy Tatro as Gorilla Grodd. Presented as an in-universe true-crime documentary, the series sees Jimmy reopen one of Metropolis’ most famous murder cases after the superintelligent Gorilla Grodd is convicted of killing his father, the King of Gorilla City. As Jimmy investigates whether Grodd was wrongly convicted, the series explores the darker and stranger corners of the Metropolis criminal justice system.
Beck Bennett, Mikaela Hoover and Wendell Pierce reprise their Superman roles as Steve Lombard, Cat Grant and Perry White, with Mary Holland, Eduardo Franco, Arian Moayed, Dan Perrault, Andrew Leeds and Tim Baltz also starring.
