British motoring show presented by Chris Harris, Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff. This is the latest BBC programme with the same name, with the Clarkson/Hammond/May iteration effectively continuing on Amazon Prime as The Grand Tour.

Top Gear is not cancelled but is being “rested” for the “foreseeable future”.

Even though it’s been given a three year contract they can still axe the show mid contract if it’s not doing well, but sadly it’s not doing well with ratings lower than series 23 so the chances of it being renewed are still unknown and its more 50% chance of series 25 – thanks

I’m writing to say that top gear has been renewed for a three year contract talking it up to series 25 and i will also be series 23 not series 1 and

Yes, but it’s also the BBC, so that changes things.

Rating are not the only factor in play, as the BBC doesn’t have advertising. Although the ratings have been lower, they’re also much steadier than last season. Plus the general opinion of this season has been way *way* more positive than season 23. That makes a big difference. I think we’ll see it back again next year.
