The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain gives a witty, toe-tapping performance at the Sydney Opera House. Renowned for their eclectic range of ingeniously strummed covers of everything from the Sex Pistols’ Anarchy in the UK to Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit, the Dick Barton radio show theme, Ode to Joy and Richard Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries, the UOGB has spawned hundreds of imitators and been championed by the likes of David Bowie and Brian Eno.
Here, the eight-strong ensemble perform a brilliant set of crowd pleasers, receiving a standing ovation from fans at the iconic Australian venue.
