Retreat Plot Synopsis
RETREAT is a tense psychological thriller portraying one couple’s desperate attempt to rekindle their love despite tremendous grief and an unimaginable fear bearing down upon them. In RETREAT there’s no room for error and no getting away!
Taking an isolated break on an uninhabited island Martin (Murphy) and Kate (Newton) are about to find that their island retreat is about to become a stone prison of unimaginable terror. When a blood soaked stranger (Bell), stumbles through their door with an apocalyptic story of a virus sweeping across Europe decimating all in its path, their lives are turned upside down as they face the end of everything they know. Using all means necessary, they must fight to escape the approaching threat. But escape is only the beginning of their terrifying fight for survival…
In a series of tense twists, the captive couple are forced to use their ingenuity to outwit the equally volatile and charismatic Jack in an attempt to unravel the real truth. Loyalties divide and merge and paranoia sets in, culminating in a violent and shocking conclusion.
RETREAT was written by Janice Hallett and Carl Tibbetts and is directed also by Carl Tibbetts.

A moth!!!!! I can handle bugs, spiders, anything, but a moth would make me retreat, somewhere under my duvet probably 😉
Nipping into the supermarket after the gym, wearing a pair of jogging bottoms & a sweaty t-shirt and bumping into my ex…with his new girlfriend – really! are you kidding me?? Nightmare
I was making a cup of tea, and felt something land on my head… I just brushed it off thinking it was nothing so I just carried on and finished making my brew.
Well I took my cup of tea, and put it on the side next to the computer.
Still standing I started checking my e-mail using the mouse and guess what ? !!! “YES” a spider that you couldn’t fit a pint glass over was crawling down my arm at great speed.
I well freaked out taking most of my clothes off and frantically trying to suck the spider up the hoover pipe, but It had disappeared so I made a hasty retreat.
I retreated last week when there was a huge wasp buzzing around my living room and kitchen, so being the wasp-o-phobic that I am ran into the front room and closed the door and stayed in that same room for 2 and a half hours until the other half got back and could sort it out for me. I am a wimp I know 😀
Melissa 🙂
I retreat from my 6 year old when he farts. He is disgusting and finds it highly amusing.
I suffer from coulrophobia, the fear of clowns, & my worst ever memory as a child was at Blackpool Tower Circus when the clowns came out. I was terrified enough anyway but then they did the trick where they fill a bucket of water then throw it & it’s just paper, well Charlie Cairoli threw the bucket at me & it was still water, I was drenched & to make it worse he came over & gave me a kiss…I was inconsolable, not because I was wet but because the terrifying clown had kissed me. I never forgave my Mum for forcing me to go to the circus & she never made me go ever again
