Alcatraz coming to Watch on March 13th 2012

by Dave Elliott

Thrilling US drama ‘Alcatraz’ from Executive Producer JJ Abrams [Lost, Star Trek, Super 8] is breaking out exclusively onto Watch on March 13th

In 1963 America’s most notorious and infamous prison closed and some of the nation’s worst murderers, rapists and thieves vanished.

Now they’re back.  And about to be let loose on modern age America…

When San Francisco Police Department detective Rebecca Madsen [Sarah Jones] is assigned to a grisly homicide case, a fingerprint leads her to a shocking suspect: an Alcatraz inmate – one who died over 30 years ago.

Given her family history — both her grandfather and surrogate uncle, Ray Archer, were guards at the prison — Madsen’s interest is immediately piqued, and once the enigmatic, knows-everything-but-tells-nothing government agent Emerson Hauser tries to impede her investigation, she’s doggedly committed.

Madsen turns to Alcatraz expert and comic book enthusiast Dr. Diego “Doc” Soto [Jorge Garcia, Lost] to piece together the inexplicable sequence of events. With the assistance of Senior EBI Agent Emerson Hauser [Sam Neill, Jurassic Park, The Tudors] and scientist Lucy Banergee [Parminder Nagra, ER, Bend It Like Beckham] the two discover leads to a series of events that will change San Francisco and the history of the inmates of Alcatraz forever.

And so the mystery of ‘the rock’ begins to unfold…
