Sky Atlantic HD have announced today that HBO Films’ critically acclaimed Hemingway & Gellhorn will be air on Sky Atlantic in December 2012.
Hemingway & Gellhorn stars Clive Owen and Nicole Kidman in the title roles, as they tell the real life story of America’s most famous literary couple. Starting in 1936 with a chance meeting at a Key West bar, it follows literary master Ernest Hemingway and trailblazing war correspondent Martha Gellhorn as the adventurous writers cover the Spanish Civil War and beyond.
The combined magnetism of Hemingway and Gellhorn ushered them into social circles that included the elite of Hollywood, the aristocracy of the literary world and the First Family of the United States. As witnesses to history, they covered all the great conflicts of their time, but the war they couldn’t survive was the war between themselves.
Hemingway & Gellhorn will be air on Sky Atlantic in December 2012.
