Home TV News Poll: biggest disappointment

Poll: biggest disappointment

by Andrew

Every now and again, television programmes don’t live up to our expectations. Sure, they might have hordes of fans in certain demographics, but bearing in mind they are an investment of time, often to the tune of 45 minutes per week for half the year.

So, I have a three episode rule. When there is a new programme that looks interesting, I give it three episodes to retain or grow my interest. If it doesn’t, I stop watching.

In the list are some programmes I had to stop watching as they did not hold my interest. Some managed longer than three episodes, but all ultimately turned out to be, in my view, a disappointment.

I dare say some of you will disagree, but that is the wonder of subjective opinion. Choose which one you found to be the most disappointing and we’ll see how it pans out.

No Way!! Some of those shows have been my favourite shows this year!! Revolution was brilliant!! As were Arrow, Boardwalk Empire and Da Vinci’s Demons!!! the others I would agree with. Brilliant site by the way! So glad I found it, very informative!

The concept is certainly fascinating and I was greatly looking forward to it. However, I find the pace is a different matter

Da Vinci’s Demons was awful. I wasn’t expecting a ground breaking drama by any means but it made Spartacus look like Deadwood.

It took a while to get into, but I was gripped for the last five episodes. Revolution (and most of those shows on the list), on the other hand, was so awful I stopped watching after six episodes.
