It’s been a long time coming, but Outlander FINALLY has a home in the UK (according to Broadcast… so if this news is wrong, it’s their fault!), and it’s on Amazon Prime Instant Video… Amazon Instant Video Prime.. Amazon Optimus Prime Video… (etc… for gods sake guys, sort out your stupidly long name!)
Ahem… Amazon will get first run rights in the UK, to the show, which was shot in Scotland, but has been without a UK broadcaster until now. This may come as a bit of a disappointment to people hoping it would end up on a ‘normal’ terrestrial channel, but with any luck, a normal tv network may still take it for 2nd run rights.
OUTLANDER is an adaptation of Diana Gabidon’s series of novels which follows the adventures of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who goes back in time to 1743, where she encounters Jamie Fraser, a handsome young Scottish highlander.
Amazon with apparently stream the show in March.
