Mr Robot
Universal Channel UK today announced they would be airing the excellent Mr. Robot starring Rami Malek (The Pacific, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb) and Christian Slater (Mind Games, My Own Worst Enemy, True Romance). Season 1 of Mr. Robot will air on Universal, Thursday 21st July at 9pm
The exclusive premiere rights still sit with Amazon Prime in the UK, who will be airing Mr. Robot season 2 from 14th July 2016. However, like a number of series which premiere on the streaming service, such as Vikings & Black Sails, the liner broadcast rights have been sold on to a traditional broadcast network to run after a set period of time.
The show follows Elliot (Rami) a young hacker and security technician with a social anxiety disorder, who gets involved with a hacker collective led by Mr. Robot (Slater). The digital anarchy group are intent on levelling the world playing field by wiping out all US debt, but Elliot isn’t sure if they can be trusted. It’s a fantastic roller-coaster of a drama, and well worth your time if you haven’t caught it on Amazon yet.
Season 1 of Mr. Robot will air on Universal, Thursday 21st July at 9pm.
