Winter Is Here… And Has Delayed Game Of Thrones Season 7

As we saw in the Game Of Thrones finale, Winter is here. That unfortunately causes a bit of a problem for the makers of Game Of Thrones… David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the men behind bringing Westeros to your tv screen, have said that the introduction of Winter will most likely push Game Of Thrones Season 7 back a little from it’s traditional April air date, due to them needing less sunny weather. Ironically, that possibly means it’ll air in the Summer.

“Winter is here” comment the creators, “and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes anymore. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”

We are also aware that GoT is most likely coming to an end. Seasons 7 & 8 will both have shorter runs than the previous seasons, and it’s been strongly indicated 8 will probably be it’s last.

HBO haven’t commented on on Weiss &  Benioff’s remarks, and there is no air date set, but it does appear we could be waiting a little bit longer for Daenerys to cross the ocean as face off against Queen Cersei. And with winter now here, we will no doubt be seeing more of the Night King and his merry band of White Walkers causing problems for newly pronounced King Of The North, Jon Snow…

Game Of Thrones will return next year, albeit a bit later than usual…
